Imaginarium @ The Anchorage Museum

Science Museum Interactives

Eleven science phenomenon interactive “marker” experiences were developed for the Imaginarium, now amalgamated with The Anchorage Museum, in Anchorage, Alaska. Water Rocket and Ice Crystals are science museum ‘world firsts’. In Water Rocket see true rocket propulsion with full control of water level and air pressure. In Ice Crystals see water crystals grow before your eyes and control how fast they grow, then melt them.

The exhibits were 90% fabricated in our shops including all millwork, metalwork, electronics and machining. The design language for the housings included renewable resource materials – Plyboo, Paperstone, and recycleable ones – aluminum. Exhibits were developed with keen attention to prototyping, as always. Mystus also has acted as a consultant to the museum for setting up their maintenance program, and shop.
